In most instances we will design the system the same day we meet with a written proposal and
exact cost calculation at that time. Larger projects a site under construction may
require a second visit.

Cost
The figures below vary from the cost of the fixtures which could be fifty up to several hundred dollars all
depending on type of material used for the fixture. The fixtures that we use would be made of bronze, copper, stainless steel or powdered
coated aluminum. Also of importance is where we place the wiring. Is it buried, to what depth? Where would the wire be run to avoid
disturbance from outside influences, gardeners, animals, etc? Are we working under the dock to concel wiring or two to three stories to
install a fixture.
Is it for a dock where we would want to use a different type of wire and techniques. There are so many variables
depending on the image/effect to be created.
Smaller Projects - start at $2500 to $10,500 depending on above conditions and consist
of approximately 10-30 fixtures and will take 1 to 3 days.

Large Projects at $12,000 to $48,000 and up approximately 60-150 fixtures, multiple transformers, 5 to 15 days to complete.

Extra Large Projects $33,000 and up approximately 150 plus fixtures, multiple
transformers, 10 plus days to complete.
Each property is unique with to many variables to give any closer estimation.

Thus the special technique of "moonlighting" in a landscape can create pleasing natural effects when used as part of a lighting plan. Both
functional and aesthetically pleasing, moonlighting simulates the dappled lighting effect of moonlight filtering through tree branches. With this
technique, both the tree itself (branches and foliage) as well as the pathway or patio below are illuminated in a soft glow. High-end lighting
designers turn to moonlighting to illuminate walkways, decks/ patios, open lawn areas and even driveways. It provides an overall light than can
guide visitors or make outdoor gathering places more welcoming.
• Shadowing and backlighting incorporate
background light to silhouette landscape and structural features. Backlighting is a natural technique that mimics the effect of the setting sun. During a sunset, you will often observe trees and
other landscape plantings silhouetted against the illuminated horizon or an architectural structure. This effect brings to life the
outline, shape and texture of trees, specimen shrubs and ornamental grasses.
• Cross lighting integrates intersecting light beams at deliberate angles to produce depth of field from the blend of light and
shadows.
• Up-lighting involves casting light
upward to highlight the texture, size, color and features at night.
